Amanda Balionis gives fans a little insight into their “appointment” with the former Miss America

The CBS sports reporter Amanda Balionis gave the fans an insight into their latest excursion with the former Miss America Kira K. Dixon. The two friends, both well -known personalities in the golf show, spent the evening together and shared laughter and good company.

She shared a picture of herself with the caption:

Kira K. Dixon, previously known as Kira Kazantsev, won the title Miss America in 2015 after he had previously been crowned Miss New York. Dixon was born on July 20, 1991 and quickly switched from Pageantry to radio and after a deep passion for storytelling. In 2021 she entered the golf channel as a reporter on the golf channel, reported on PGA tour events and organized digital content for the United States Golf Association (USGA).

Dixon’s journey from Beauty Queen to the golf journalist shows her versatility – from Miss America to building a strong career in sports media. Her ability to connect to players and fans made it a respected voice in golf reporting.

Balionis and Dixon apparently share a close bond, and both women played a key role to bring the audience to Golf worldwide. While Balionis focuses on reporting for CBS, Dixon works on the Golf channel and includes important events such as the Players Championship and the US Open.


Amanda Balionis’ ascent from PGA Tour to CBS Sports

Amanda Balionis has significantly shaped the golf transfer. She started covering the high school sports for Verizon Fios Channel 1 and MSG Networks. In 2011 she was hired by the PGA Tour as an internal reporter with tournament and events for her website.

Her trip continued with Callaway Golf in 2016, where she worked as a digital reporter. Her breakthrough took place in 2017 when CBS Sports recognized her talent and brought her on board as a part-time Golfreiter. Within a year she secured a full-time position and expanded her reporting with college football and NFL games.

Amanda Balionis has treated numerous important golf events. In particular, after his victory in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February 2025, she led a memorable interview with Rory Mcilroy. She was also part of the big tournaments, including the Masters and the PGA championship, where she interviewed Top players like Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson.
