Amazon Prime members can get flights for  — but there’s a catch

Amazon Prime members can book flights home for the holidays for $25, but not everyone is eligible.

Just in time to enjoy the season with your loved ones, Amazon and StudentUniverse are partnering to offer a limited number of $25 flights to Prime members enrolled in the Young Adult plan, it says of the announcement. This offer is a great addition to the great discounts, convenience and entertainment that Prime members can enjoy all year round.

Eligible customers between the ages of 18 and 24 can register for Young Adult membership and activate the StudentUniverse feature. Starting December 9 at 10 a.m. PST, these Prime members can purchase tickets for just $25 on all domestic flights in the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia for travel between December 9, 2024 and January 14, 2025 The supply is sufficient. This offer is offering 5,000 $25 airline tickets, with 1,000 tickets being released daily from December 9th through December 13th at 10am PST.


“As a mother of a college student, I am excited to have my son home for the holidays,” Carmen Nestares, vice president of US Prime and Marketing Tech at Amazon, said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “The holidays are a time to gather with loved ones, make memories and create traditions. We’re happy to help make flying more affordable for young adults who want to spend this important time with family and friends. Our Young Adult Prime membership not only offers all the savings and benefits that Prime offers, but also exclusive benefits and surprise benefits just for 18-24 year olds.”

Amazon has expanded its celebrity endorsement game

Over the past few weeks, Amazon has been engaging customers in new and exciting ways with various celebrity promotions.

Last month, Adam Driver was hired by the company to write dramatic monologues that received five-star reviews. The Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor read real customer reviews as part of the company’s 5 Star Theater marketing campaign to encourage gift buying during Black Friday week. Driver brings to life some of the funniest and most viral five-star product reviews on Amazon in the ads.

Shortly thereafter, Amazon hired Martha Stewart and Jennifer Hudson to host Black Friday shopping shows.
