Amy Robach and TJ Holmes open up about their future together and share sweet and honest details about their relationship in the latest episode of their Amy & TJ podcast.
The couple, whose romance first made headlines in late 2022, answered a fan question about their plans to tie the knot, sparking a warm and playful exchange that had fans swooning.
“It’s not an if, it’s a when. I like that. “I really appreciate that,” Amy, 51, said when asked about her wedding plans. But she quickly added a twist, turning to TJ, 47, and reminding him of his earlier words: “TJ, you told me I should never propose to you.”
TJ seemed surprised and replied with mock confusion, “Are you proposing to me?” Amy clarified, “Remember we talked about women proposing to men? But I’m just saying that when I answer that, I feel like part of it would be saying when I want to get married.”
Amy, ever thoughtful, avoided putting a specific timeline on it, but admitted: “We don’t have a date, of course, and we haven’t even decided what we’re going to do yet. But if I said I wanted to and I’d like to do it in the fall, that would be like proposing to you.”
© Getty ImagesThen TJ turned the question back to himself and gave a direct answer. “When? “Sooner rather than later,” he said with a laugh. “And I say that based on my exclusive conversations with the bride.”
He added: “We’re not trying to figure things out. We’re not trying to figure out if we want to be together. We’re not doing a test run. That’s not where we are. The decision was made to spend money on a life together.

Amy agreed, emphasizing the difference between their views on marriage and weddings. “We talked about marriage. We didn’t talk about a wedding. And there is a difference between the two,” she noted, hinting at her more pragmatic approach to planning her future.

In a previous podcast episode, TJ shared details about their new “living situation,” revealing that they have been living together for weeks and regularly move between their respective apartments, which are within walking distance of each other.
“We’ve been living together for a few weeks,” Amy confirmed in the episode, marking another milestone in their whirlwind romance.
The couple’s journey to this point has been eventful, to say the least. Their relationship first sparked dating rumors in November 2022, under less-than-ideal circumstances.
At the time, Amy was married to actor Andrew Shue, while TJ was married to lawyer Marilee Fiebig. The romance received significant media attention as both Amy and TJ resigned from their positions on GMA3: What You Need to Know.
