“Andor” star Adria Arjona speaks the first rape scene of the Star Wars’

For Arjona, she found consolation and inspiration in real reports of women who survived rape and torture. “I had the feeling that I went through the spectacle games,” she says over season 2. “Research was harder. I read so many interviews and saw so many videos of people who actually went through it.”

“This process was most growing,” she reflects. “And it stayed with me. When I made the scenes, it felt like I was telling a small part of the story of the five people that I really refined in their stories.
