Andre Onana rested for Manchester United Game in Newcastle

The goalkeeper of Manchester United, Andre Onana, will not be shown in the Premier League game on Sunday at Newcastle United.

Onana has played every minute of United’s 69 Premier League games every minute since it was given in the summer of 2023, but is rested by head coach Ruben Amorim for the trip to St. James’ Park.

The 29-year-old guilt for both goals from Lyon in the quarter-finals of the Europa League in France on Thursday, which United scored 2-2.

Onana made it possible Thiago Almada’s 25th minute free kick, while Rayan Cherki’s equalizer at the end of the game came deep into added time after goalkeeper Palmed Corentin Tolisso had put the game on his way.

“We have to see the context, but that’s a normal thing,” Amorim told Sky Sports before resting his decision to rest from Onana.

“Sometimes you have to push the player, sometimes you have to let him separate. But he will be in training tomorrow to prepare, so I think it is a good time to separate.

“He is okay because I explained it. He doesn’t have to like it, but he has to understand it.

“The physical aspect is one thing, but the mental aspect is also important. Altay (Bayindir) is ready to play.”

The camera goalkeeper accidentally triggered a word war with the former United middle field player Nemanja Matatic in Lyon after the draw said that the Premier League was “much better” than the French team.

This led to Matic that onana was one of the worst goalkeepers in the history of Manchester United in his press conference before the game.

While Altay Bayindir-United’s backup goalkeeper is to debut for the Premier League for the trip to Newcastle, Onana will probably return to Lyon in Old Trafford on Thursday.

United is the 13th place in the Premier League rating before the trip on Sunday to Newcastle, which in the table seventh and only four points behind Manchester City in fourth place, which played two more games.
