Anthony Ramos’ Ironheart Villain has been reimagined for the MCU

Anthony Ramos is ready to show the world his take on Parker Robbins/The Hood. Luckily, fans won’t have to wait much longer as Marvel Studios has set a premiere date for June 2025 Ironheart.

In a recent interview with ComingSoon, Ramos spoke about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as The Hood. He revealed that he “didn’t really dive into the comics” to learn more about his character, choosing instead to follow the scripts. “But it was also the question: How do I make it unique? How do I make it different? Parker Robinson in the comics is from New York. Our man is from Chicago, our show is set there. So I just wanted to make it super dynamic,” he explained. “Like any character, I just see how I can handle him and I try to put as much of myself into the character as possible. I think that’s how I saw it. Why, surely, I referenced the comics. He has a certain look, but Parker Robinson in the comics looks different than me, you know? So it was cool to be able to almost recreate that guy.”

Because even Some of our favorite villains are still likeable, right? You’re thinking about the Joker, right? There are villains in movies that just make you think, ‘Damn, I really, really like this guy, but he’s the worst.'”

Ramos concluded by revealing that his “favorite part of playing a villain is that you can really get into the mind of a person who is basically doing something wrong, but they have justified why they are doing it. For them, their reason is legitimate.” And that’s a good reason. So it’s been fun to explore that not only with Hood but also with the different characters that I play.”
