Apple and Real Madrid explore immersive sports streaming for Vision Pro

Apple is reportedly in negotiations with Real Madrid to bring immersive sports experiences to Vision Pro users. This will allow fans to watch Real Madrid matches at the Santiago Bernabéu (Real Madrid’s home stadium) using Apple Vision Pro, meeting the high demand for seats. Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, has described this concept as the “infinite Santiago Bernabéu”.

There is currently a lack of immersive sports content, especially when it comes to live games. To address this issue, Apple is considering upgrading the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium with technology that would allow live games to be streamed in an immersive video format.

If it works, this partnership could completely change the way we watch sports, making it easier for fans who can’t be there in person and potentially eliminating the whole “sold out” idea of unlimited virtual seats.

The use of 8K 3D video with a 180-degree field of view and spatial audio could give viewers an experience similar to that of visiting a stadium.

The partnership between Real Madrid and Apple could open doors to reach more sports and teams worldwide.

Continuous production of high-quality immersive content for live events is critical to success.

There are exciting times ahead as a sports fan. I can’t wait to see what Apple plans to do.
