Ardmore woman fulfills a lifelong dream as a candidate “The Price is right”

Ardmore, Okla. (Kxii) -As a long -time fan of the HIT CBS game show, the price is correct, Ardmore’s Robin Sowders can now check what it’s a candidate of her favorite game show of her Bucket list.

“Always since I was a child and grew up, I only knew that I would be there, not if but when,” said Sowder.

In October, Sowder made a business trip to California with her husband and took part in a recording of the show.

“The first show that we were not called, we were only in the audience and we were in the second row,” said Sowder.

Although she was initially not selected, she returned to the studio the following day and hoped for a second chance. And to her surprise, she was called to come onto the stage, where she had the chance to play several classic games for exciting prices and even make a shot on the famous Big Wheel.

“It was so surreal that I couldn’t even believe it, the cameras are all on your face and it is just a bit scary, but at the same time fun,” added Sowder.

Sowders was one of 175 potential participants who were selected for the show, and says that every candidate had gone through an interview that lasted about five hours.

“You select them in ten groups, then call them into the room where the producers are located, and they will go forward and tell them a little about themselves,” said Sowder.

Sowder’s episode by The Price Is Right will be broadcast on KXII on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m.
