The Sea Hear Now Festival began in 2018 in ASBury Park, which was held annually, until 2020, when pandemic forced its cancellation.

“Over the course of many months, we have now worked with Sea Hear to take into account concerns and suggestions that our residents and companies have identified in connection with the festival,” said Amy Quinn, deputy mayor of Asbury Park. “Such a request was to put aside a day for the general public before selling.

The festival is produced by C3 Presents, the team behind Lollapalooza and the local Danny Clinch and Tim Donnelly. Clinch is a native of Toms River who photographed the sizes of music from Springsteen to Tupac Shakur.

His transparent clinch gallery, which shows live appearances and clinch photos, borders the ASBury Hotel on the city’s promenade.

The festival, which includes surfing and art components, draws 35,000 every September to the waterfront. Stages are set up on North Beach and Bradley Park.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and Noah Kahan put on the head last year.
