Samuel L. Jackson has had one of the most remarkable careers in Hollywood history. You can’t even begin to make a list without mentioning some of the greatest franchises of all time. Jackson appeared in Steven Spielberg’s original Jurassic Park. He played Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was a Jedi Master star Wars. Seriously, any list will leave out several stone-cold masterpieces. So when Sam talks about the different impacts Die slowly with all your might had on his career versus pulp Fictionyou have to listen and accept what he says.

Maybe too much time has passed and people have forgotten what a huge success this is especially through the first three films. I wrote that I was trying to capture the impact of this series on his career and the industry, but the way Samuel L. Jackson sums it up really gets to the point. Pulp Fiction was an important film for Jackson. It earned him an Oscar nomination and turned his monologue built around Ezekiel 25:17 into a pop culture blitz that none of us would forget.

Because as effective as this film was, its impact was dwarfed many times over Die slowly with all your might. As Jackson explained, the crowd embraced his cantankerous character, Zeus. They would scream Die Hard quotes him as they saw him on the street. More importantly, the film industry suddenly realized that Jackson was someone who could produce a blockbuster. He remembered:

It makes me sad that we won’t get another collaboration between Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson like the previous one. But we will always have it pulp Fiction, Die slowly with all your mightand a number of excellent M. Night Shyamalan films including Unbreakable And Glass to remind us together of their flammable chemistry.
