Author, former basketball player of the University of Florida, Patric Young talks about his journey and where he is now

Entry into his study year at the University of Florida was overwhelming, and Young said he was not sure whether he could deal with it emotionally. To be away from his family, to grow into himself as a man and to face all the things as an adult.

On June 29, 2022, 10 days before his wedding, Young had a single car accident that led to a spinal cord injury and was unable to use his legs.

“I just wanted to be so authentic and vulnerable because I think that the world doesn’t have enough of where you can really look into the life of a person and see what they go through and how they hand over and how they overcome themselves. Young said of all the things he did. This is one of his proudest that someone will read the book and be affected.

Young can’t help but smile and know that his life is not only led by his faith, but by those who have helped him pave the one who has shaped him from his family in his corner to his coaches who have shaped him in the man he is today.

“I want to become like a master communicator and really have the ability to move and change the hearts of people and to present things in such a way that with conviction and authenticity, authenticity that really influences them, the people who never know how people, how people are inspired, are inspired, I am inspired or whatever, but they never know.
