Baker and Soto do the training of Orioles and wait to find out whether you are a roster on the opening day (updated)

Toronto – Orioles Reliever Bryan Baker was told nothing.

Infieldder Livan Soto was told nothing.

You have lockers in the visit club house in the Rogers Center and took part in the training that afternoon. However, they received no confirmations that they are at the opening squad. These conversations are in the queue.

The assumptions are of course understandable.

Matt Bowman and Roansy Contreras, the internal competitors with bakers for the last Bullpen spot, had no lockers and they were not seen in the clubhouse or in the field.

The Infielder Jorge Mateo should receive extra -standing doses of bats yesterday and today in Sarasota, and it is conceivable that he will arrive in Toronto later tonight or in the morning. Otherwise, Soto will make the club because the additional infielder and Mateo are placed on the injured list.

Mateo had no locker in the clubhouse.

“I’m here, that’s all I know,” said Baker with a laugh.

Can Baker allow himself to think that it is good news to be with the team in Canada? Does he dare?

“I think yes,” he said. “I would rather be here than somewhere, so hopefully I’ll be ready tomorrow.”

The Orioles selected Bowman’s contract on Sunday, the deadline to conclude from its Minor League deal, but they did not complete the 26-man squad. Baker stayed in the game.

He didn’t stay in Sarasota.

“I think that only comes a little with the territory,” said Baker about the stressful last days. “But I’m not trying to think too much about my own situation. It’s more about the team than whole. So whatever happens. But in relation to us, when we go into the right place as a unit, I think that we are in a good place.

“I think we’re in a good place this year and hopefully we can have fun.”

The outs are much more pleasant and Baker did this with its Fastball speed at 98 miles per hour and the new grip around its change, which makes it a more effective place. He retired the first nine batteries, was achieved in three of his next four appearances-and a year-on of the three-home game against the twins and withdrew the side against the pirates, while contributing to the combined no-grille in Bradenton.

“I think it was positive for me overall,” he said. “I have improved and hopefully improved myself and hopefully help this team.”

Baker’s bike is usually peaked in June or July, but it started early in the camp.

“Hopefully I will continue to throw more hard over the course of the season, how I usually do it,” he said. “I start in a much better place than normally. The speed is great. I have the feeling that everything has gotten a little better to be honest. Throwing more blows and simply preceding the boys.

“I think I have the tools to be successful. Just a question of execution and use of these correctly.”

Soto took ground balls in Shortstop, Shagged Fly Bugs and was in the last goal group. In 18 games he was one of the most productive rackets in the camp with a line of 0.395/.458/.488 and won the competition among the infections without warehouse as a replacement of Gunnar Henderson, while the all-star recovered from a tense right intercostal.

His first appearance in an opening day is within reach, but the Orioles could take it away. It won’t be true until he hears it from Manager Brandon Hyde.

“I’m not sure, but I’m prepared,” said Soto about interpreter Brandon Quinones. “I am prepared that I am ready to just wait if you need me tomorrow.

“I think I did a good job. I think I did everything I had to do. I am really satisfied with my way I played. I think at that time it is your decision to make and we will see how satisfied and how satisfied you feel at the end, but I feel happy where I was and what I could show and what I could prove.”

The honor would be a confirmation of Soto’s persistence like its level of production. He was selected four times between February April 2024, twice from the Orioles, and they got it from the Reds in a trade on July 30th and optimized him.

Soto was shown, overloaded and invited to the camp. Now he could be presented on Thursday before a amount of capacity.

“I feel incredible and actually want to welcome myself to be in this position,” he said. “Obviously, the last year is a difficult year only with the ups and downs, but I think that it means a lot to fight for a squad square on the opening day in this position, and I’m really happy that I am in this position. Only very proud of myself with all the hard work.”

Jackson Holliday switched to Soto at Shortstop for Fielding Practice. Jordan Westburg was in the second basis, Ramón Urías was in third place and Ryan Mountcastle and Ryan O’Hearn were initially.

* Hyde is expected to reveal on Thursday whether Dean Kremer or Tomoyuki Sugano is the No. 3 starter after he confirmed Zach Eflin and Charlie Morton for the first two games of the series and Cade Povich for the home opener on March 31.

Kremer excluded 10 Braves -Hitter in 5 1/3 Innings on Sunday in the north harbor.

Albert Suárez is assigned to the Bullpen after creating a place in the rotation with an edge over Povich and Grayson Rodriguez ‘Trizeps/Ellbogene inflammation. Rodriguez did not speak to the media today, but he is expected to throw the Bullpen in the Rogers Center.

“I was happy because I think this was made the team from the camp for the first time, so I was still happy,” said Suárez.

“It means a lot, I’m happy to do the team. I am always ready to help the team in every situation. For me it doesn’t matter whether I start or in bullpen. I concentrate on helping the team.”
