Bangkok Post – Myanmar Rebel Group enables the export of rare dinner events to China: sources

Beijing – A rebel group in Myanmar, which is one of the world’s largest zones of the rare earth, has informed the mining workers there that they will enable the programs of existing rare dinner to China from Thursday, two sources and an explanation that Reuters checked.

The rare era in Myanmar focuses on the state of Kachin in the cities of Panwa and Chipwe, which have been controlled by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) since last October.

Since the takeover of the group, China’s imports of rare earth oxides and compounds from Myanmar have dropped sharply, as Chinese customs data show and increase prices.

The KIA will enable the rare to export from Thursday and to collect taxes of 35,000 yuan ($ 4,800 $ 4,800) per tonne, according to an explanation that was sent to the miners in the region.

The explanation was not dated, but the sources that have knowledge of the matter said she was sent on Wednesday. They were looking for anonymity because they were not justified to speak to the media.

The Kia did not respond to a Reuter’s request for comments.

China is the world’s largest consumer and importer of rare earths and connections it uses to produce refined rare earths and magnets that dominate it.

Prices for terbium oxide whose supply is concentrated on Kachin, between the end of September and March 24th, 21.9% rose to 6,550 yuan per kg when the imports from Myanmar dried.

However, prices have dropped by 1% last week, since expectations of increasing the offer from Myanmar.
