Bank of America will close these accounts: Here is why

If you are a customer of the Bank of America, you might want to know here.

The Finance Institute has announced that it would close some accounts if account holders do not take certain proactive measures.

TIRDODISCA reports how the Bank of America issued its customers a warning and they warn that accounts that are classified as inactive are closed. The content of these accounts is then handed over to the right units.

“If you have not accessed your account, you may receive a letter from us by knowing that your account will be abandoned and to be handed over to the state after Escheat laws,” says the bank’s FAQ page.

“You have to follow the instructions in your letter to contact the bank and prevent them.”
