Barcelona captain gives update on recovery from injury – “It takes a long time”

Marc-Andre ter Stegen, FC Barcelona’s first captain, was one of the key figures at the pre-celebration of the club’s 125th anniversary at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

The German goalkeeper, who is recovering from a serious knee injury sustained at the end of September, spoke to Barça One just minutes before the event began and shared his pride in being “captain this year.”

“It is a great honor to represent these players who play with the utmost enthusiasm. “In the years when Barça won almost everything, everyone wanted to be a Barcelona fan.” said ter Stegen.

“It seemed like madness to me and my family, and I always had in the back of my mind that I wanted to be here one day. We are in a different situation now, but I am very happy to have taken this step.” he added.
