“Bel-Air” officially ends – find out when

Peacocks Bel Air has provided viewers with a modernized version of the hit song Will Smith-led sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. It is also one of the first original programs on the streaming platform and has arguably become one of the most popular shows to date. With the third season recently arriving on the streamer on August 15, a report from Deadline revealed that the teen drama series has just been renewed for the fourth season. Although the series being renewed will certainly be exciting news for fans, the fourth season will also serve as its final one.

According to the network, the Season 4 renewal – which was announced three months after the Season 3 wedding finale – was likely delayed due to budget discussions that took place off-camera. This contradicts the Season 3 renewal announcement, which came before the Season 2 finale. As if Bel AirThe end of just four seasons isn’t bad news enough. Deadline also reported that the fourth season will only consist of eight episodes, which is two episodes fewer than previous seasons.

“Bel-Air” performed extremely well

Bel Air is a reinterpretation of William Smith’s (played by Smith in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) complex life as he embarks on a new journey, from wandering the streets of West Philadelphia to settling into a new world he is thrown into in the gated mansions of the titular affluent neighborhood. While the first season didn’t entirely impress critics with just a 65% Rotten Tomatoes rating at the time of writing, subsequent seasons managed to surpass the first season’s critical reception, with season 2 receiving a 90 critic score in the review % received aggregation platform. Furthermore, Season 3 achieved an excellent score of 100%. While it’s still far too early to predict how the upcoming fourth season will pan out critically, it will be exciting to see Bel Air surpass yourself once again.
