Bernadette Peters, Lea Salonga and more bring Stephen Sondheim’s old friends tonight to Broadway | Broadway -Buzz

Stephen Sondheim’s old friends, Fresh from the west coast in the Center Theater Group in Los Angeles, the Broadway engagement in Samuel J. Friedman Theater begins on March 25.

Old friends Is a consequence of the revues Side by side of Sondheim And Put together. The show is staged by Matthew Bourne, who also offers musical staging with Julia McKenzie and choreography by Stephen Mear.

The cast features two-time Tony Award Winner Bernadette Peters, Tony Award Winner Lea Salonga, Jasmine Forsberg, Kate Jennings Grant, Kevin Earley, Bonnie Langford, Tony Award Winner Beth Leaveel, Two-Tay Award Nominee Gavin Lee, Kyle Bigey, Jacob Dickey, Multiple Olivier Award Nominee Jason Pennycooke, Two-Time Olivier Award Winner Joanna Riding, Jeremy Sekomb, Maria Wirries and Daniel Yearwood. Greg Mills, Paige Faure, Alexa Lopez and Peter Neureuther round off the ensemble.

“You don’t have to be a Sondheim fan and know this poetry and poetry,” said Peters The Broadway show. “It is total entertainment.”
