The same applies to Malone, which received several nominations for both the CMA Awards and the ACM Awards for his Country debut F-1 trillions.

Last year Luke Bryan burdened the discourse on Beyoncé’s lack of CMA Award nominations, which indicates that Beyoncé did not get a nod because she hadn’t got enough of the wider Country music industry.

“Everyone loved that Beyoncé made a country album. Nobody is crazy about it,” said Bryan at the time. “But where things get a little difficult what they make country albums, come to our world and be a bit with us. Beyoncé can do exactly what she wants. She is probably the biggest star in music.

Bryan later made it clear that he never had “negative” intentions with his comments. “I respect Beyonce and I love how loyal their fans are. I spend a lot of time to support other artists. I want everyone to win. I love you,” he said.

“It was very clear that I wasn’t,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “Because of this experience, however, I made a deeper immersion in the history of country music and studied our kingdom of musical archive. It feels good to see how music combine so many people around the world and at the same time strengthen the voices of some of the people who have trained so much of their life about our music history.”

Beyoncé continued: “This genre forced me to cross the borders that have been added to me. Act II is a result of the challenge and the time to bend and mix genres to create this work.”
