Bobcat merch sales hit new highs with magical season for Montana State

BOZEMAN — With the holidays just days away, there’s a lot of shopping to do, but Bobcat fans are also shopping for gifts and gear.

Before Saturday’s big game, fans like Gabe Sorensen are preparing for the playoff game by purchasing Bobcat gear.

“It’s exciting. It’s nice to play football this late in the season,” said Sorensen.

Sorensen was busy Christmas shopping at the MSU bookstore, but also checked out the merchandise before Saturday’s game.

“We mostly look for Christmas stuff, but it’s always fun to come to the bookstore and see what’s new,” Sorensen said.

Jackson Dudak, marketing director for MSU Bookstore, said this playoff berth was also a record for the store.

“Like Black Friday. “We’ve seen a lot of that lately, which is great,” says Dukak. “We achieved numbers we’ve never achieved before in the Big Sky Championship.”

Dudak says the store has come up with more ideas this season as the team has had more success.

“Our successes and what we did with them. The road to Frisco, the Big Sky champs, and I think a big thing right now is just our vintage gear,” Dudak says.

It was all hands on deck in the store.

“Whether it’s restocking inventory or helping with online orders. So we’re getting things out there as quickly as possible. We replenished our inventory and sourced new merchandise as quickly as possible,” says Dudak.

Dudak says as the team continues to have success, they will also provide equipment for the Bobcat faithful.

“If we’re lucky enough to win this weekend, the Road to Frisco stuff will come out right after the game. So it will be available for pre-order online,” says Dudak.
