There is a fine limit between sexy and sexual. Only a few boy bands dared to run this line in K-pop, but Ateee did it right.

K-POP concerts always include a performance to show the sexy side of a group, but rarely, if at all a group of sexuality to the overall topic of an entire concert. But during the latest concert by Boy Band Ateez in Seoul at the weekend, the sensuality was not indicated. It was on your face.

Ateez lowered the curtain of his world tour “In the direction of The Light: Will To Power” with final concerts in Seoul on Saturday and Sunday in the KSPO Dome in South Seaoul and filled 180 minutes with what was only possible as a sexiest performance of a K-pop boy band.

“Do you have fun? From here it gets even stronger and sexyer,” Mingi told the audience, who replied with Hollern, who sounded more on excited screams than after screaming.

The concert was suffocated with sexual allusions that were reinforced by outfits that were made mad. During the performance of “Silver Light” (2023) San was chained on the ceiling on his knees, and the members covered their eyes during the performance of “Wake Up” (2023) with a velvet cloth. Member Seonghwa carried leather straps about his chest instead of shirts, unlike member San, who was not wearing anything under his Blazer and Mingi’s loosely adapted sleeveless top looks compared to the top.

But it was not just the abundant body rolls under red light or the choreography of the neck that were the glasses of the concert. Ateez ‘concert showed the importance of a smooth narrative, which of course leads a song to the next instead of a sudden mood crossing, which can even appear accidentally if it is done wrong.

The roof buling energy, which during the performances of “Bouncy (K-Hot Chili Peppers)” (2023), “Wonderland” (2019), “The Real” (2021) and “Arriba” (2023) also demonstrated how they raised the skills of Ateez, which stole the hearts of the fans around the world.

“We tried so much that today everyone can be useful and precious for everyone,” said Hongjoong.

“I was so happy yesterday and I’m so happy today,” said Jongho. “I will be further thanks to the (fan club).

“When I can see that the halls get bigger and more fans come with every tour, I was grateful, but as a person it made me want more,” said Woooy. “It made me get higher and achieve more. But I will not only want and wish without trying it. We will try, atez, more and more.

“Thank you for having fun tonight,” said San. “I am only glad that we were able to end the tour of us all eight, which we started a year ago.

During the “direction of the Light” tour that started in January 2024, Ateez went through in 19 cities in North America and nine cities in Europe.

The band was the second K-Pop artist who appeared in the Citi Field Stadium in New York and the first K-pop boy band that appeared in the Globe Light Field last July. On February 22nd of this year, Ateee also performed in the La Défense Arena of Paris and was the first K-POP law to hold a solo performance at one of the largest venues in Europe.

After debut in 2018 under KQ Entertainment with EP “Treasure Ep. 1: All To Zero”, Ateez quickly achieved international popularity through his powerful hip-hop topic, which was preferred by global K-pop fans. The band went on their first tour “The Expedition Tour”, just four months after their debut, to prove their global fame. Since then, ATEEEZ has been on five world tours, including “towards light”.

In 2023, ATEEZ brought the Billboard 200-alben charts at the top with his second album “The World Ep. Fin: Will” for the first time in 2023, which also reached second place on the British official album charts.

Last November, the band published its 11th EP “Golden Hour: Part. 2” as an album, which “catches the different moments of love around Ateez”, said member San during the band’s press conference on the day of the release of the album. “Golden Hour: Part. 2” also led the Billboard 200 and landed in 4th place on the official album charts.

ATEEZ is now in the seventh year in the industry, which means that members have to decide whether they should renew their contracts with KQ Entertainment. When individual members with different agencies pursue solo career, an album and a tour with all members will be exponentially difficult.

“We have many conversations not only among the members, but also with the agency’s employees,” Hongjoong told reporters during a press conference last November.

“There are still so many things that we want to show as Ateez. And when we look back on our history, we believe that there are so many things that we have in ourselves. There is not much that we can tell you now, but we would like to tell you that we have a lot to show.”
