Brandi Glanville spent $70,000 to find a cure for facial parasites

Brandi Glanville has spent thousands of dollars trying to find a solution to the unknown “parasite” that caused her facial disfigurement last year.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Alumna recently spoke to Entertainment tonight about her health problems and growing frustration at the failure of medical professionals to make a diagnosis.

“Honestly, I have seen so many doctors and done so many tests. I did lab work for $10,000,” the 52-year-old told the outlet. “They ran every test there is. They say, ‘It could be a new parasite.'”

“I took medication all year round. I don’t socialize,” she added. “I don’t go out and just spend all my money trying to figure out what’s wrong with me.”

Glanville said she has spent “over $70,000” so far and every treatment she has tried has only been a temporary fix. She admitted that she has also been “stressed” over the past two years because of medical bills despite not working.

The reality star said she believes her health issues stemmed from her time in Morocco while filming The ultimate Real Housewives girls’ trip.

“We had hours of food and some of it was meat,” she claimed. “Six months after I returned from Morocco, I started having this speech problem and the swelling. It started in July and we’re still here trying to figure it out.”

Glanville explained that she can see and feel the unknown “parasite” moving on her face when she “plays around with it” and that it appears as if “tiny bubbles” are popping on her skin. “I feel like I’m sleeping or have babies on my face,” she added.

After countless visits to the doctor, she says: “I don’t have high hopes anymore.”

“It’s a terrible thing to say, but even if it’s like a tumor, I want to know. I just want an answer,” she continued. “That would be great.”

On December 7, Glanville posted a photo on X, formerly Twitter, of the facial disfigurement she suffered. She told AND that she chose to be transparent about her health just because “I was mad.”

“Because I’m so tired of the narrative that I sit around having plastic surgery all the time,” she explained. “First of all, I couldn’t afford it if I wanted to. Second: no. When there were all these mean comments – I might have had a cocktail, drank and tweeted – but I just went for it. That’s why I’m sitting at home. That’s why I don’t do red carpets. Because I don’t want to go out like that.”

“Everyone thinks I’m so tough, but right now I’m fragile,” she revealed. “It’s a very fragile time for me. I can’t remember a day when I didn’t cry. So leave me alone.”

As 2025 approaches, Glanville admitted she’s just hoping to overcome her health issues next year.

“Honestly, health equals wealth and that’s all I want,” she said.
