All creatures great and small – Season 5 (November 12)

Series. Based on the books by popular author Alf Wight, the easy-to-watch series follows the endearing and humorous adventures of local vet James Herriot and his colleagues against the breathtaking backdrop of rural England, the Yorkshire Dales.

This cheerful series is a continuation of the Christmas episode, in which a new family member joins the Herriot household; How has the rest of the Skeldale clan adjusted to the new addition? With Nicholas Ralph and Anna Madeley, Rachel Shento and Samuel West. Watch the trailer.

My King Charles (November 5th)

Series. Featuring previously unpublished letters, photographs and insights, this in-depth exploration focuses on the life of the British king, from his early years to the challenges of his final years.

Ridley – Season 2 (November 7th)

Series. Season 2 brings a series of exciting mysteries and high emotional stakes as retired detective Alex Ridley slips back into the role of consulting detective to help his former colleague Carol Farman Tackle a series of increasingly dangerous cases.

Mr. Turner (Nov. 8)

Movie (2014). A fictional look at the life of famous British painter JMW Turner, who takes a trip back in time and pauses briefly to remember his romantic relationship with a seaside landlady. Director: Mike Leigh. With Timothy Spall, Paul Jesson and Dorothy Atkinson.

The film has a 97% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with the following critics’ consensus:

Hope gap (October 29)

Rillington Place (October 31)

Series. A three-part drama about serial killer John Christie and the murders at 10 Rillington Place in the 1940s and early 1950s. With Tim Roth, Nico Mirallegro and Samantha Morton. Watch the trailer.
