Brokers have their sights on international customers, but want better credit options

Studies by RAW Capital Partners of 300 British mortgage brokers showed that only 35% gave to work regularly with international customers, but 62% active to expand this customer basis.

This was the case with the 60% of the respondents that the said that overseas demands in the past five years, and 63% predicted this appetite to increase or remain consistent in the next five years.

However, the brokers stated challenges in the catering of international customers, as two thirds said that new guidelines that had been introduced since the government changed led to customers needed more support from brokers, especially in the event of changes to the stamp tax and the private rental sector (PRS).

In addition, 62% of the brokers said that not enough lenders are ready or able to work with non-AK customers.

Must close the gap for international customers
