Bronx shelf near Yankees Stadium is the 2nd cinema in the NYC district

“It is so important to have cinemas because you have to have a place to make contacts, gather and get out of the house,” said Wally Santos, 64, a retired dry cleaner.

“We have a 7- and a 12-year-old,” said Santos of the Bronx Country Club section. “We will bring you here tomorrow to see ‘Wicked’.”

“We are closer to the Co-OP City, but I have to say that I like this theater better,” added Santos’ Ms. Jennifer.

“It feels more bronx-y, more family-oriented.”
