Provo, Utah-Emma Calvert scored 19 points and achieved seven rebounds on Saturday to lead byu to a 68-64 victory against the state of Oklahoma No. 20.

Calvert’s layup gave BYU a lead of 62-60 with 2:25 and the Cougars led the rest of the way.

Anna Gret Asis 3-pointer stretched the head start of the state of Oklahoma to 58-53 with 5:49, but there was no further field gate until Micah Greys 3 pulled the cowgirls 18 seconds to 64-63. Delaney Gibb and Calvert each shot 2 of 2 from the foul line to seal them.

Calvert Shot 8 of 13 from the ground. Gibb added 14 points, seven rebounds and six assists for BYU (13-12, 4-10 BIG 12), which shot 50% (24 out of 48) from the field and 6 out of 19 (32%).

Asi and Tenin Magassa each scored 13 points for the state of Oklahoma (20-5, 10-4), who won two in a row and six of his last seven games.

Byu scored the last six points of the second quarter to knot it 31-all. Calvert scored nine points in the first half to pilot the Cougars. Alexia Smith and Jadyn Wooden scored six per piece for the cowgirls in the first half, which shot 32% (11 out of 34) in the first half, but 52% (12 out of 23) in the second.

The state of Oklahoma will play in Salt Lake City on Tuesday to provide Utah.

BYU will be against Arizona on Wednesday.
