Car crashes into house in Concord

No one was injured when a car crashed into a home on South Main Street in Concord Sunday evening, Concord police said. The Ford sedan crashed into the back of the house near the corner of Broadway and Wiggin Street and kicked the foundation of the house. According to Concord Fire Department Captain Jeff Stone, supports had to be installed in the basement to prevent the house from collapsing. The occupants of the home were there at the time of the accident and were moved to a hotel that night. The driver of the car was not taken to the hospital. Concord police were investigating what caused the car to crash into the home.

Concord police say no one was injured when a car crashed into a home on South Main Street in Concord Sunday evening.

According to Concord Fire Department Capt. Jeff Stone, the Ford sedan crashed into the back of the home near the corner of Broadway and Wiggin Street and hit the home’s foundation.

Stone said supports needed to be installed in the basement to prevent the home from collapsing.

The residents of the house were on site at the time of the accident and were moved to a hotel for the night.

The driver of the car was not taken to the hospital.

Concord police were investigating what caused the car to crash into the home.
