Cara Delevingne and Anya Taylor-Joy honor Romy and Michele at the 2025 Golden Globes

Cara Delevingne and Anya Taylor-Joy are serving up a business women’s special at the 2025 Golden Globes.

The duo channeled Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow Romy and Michele’s high school reunion with their coordinated looks as they walked the red carpet together before the awards show at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Sunday, January 5.

The Furiosa The 28-year-old actress rocked a light pink ensemble reminiscent of Michele’s (Kudrow, 61) dress at the end of the 1997 film. Meanwhile, model-actress Delevingne, 32, opted for a sparkly blue dress reminiscent of the one Romy (Sorvino, 57) wore in the hit comedy.

But it turns out her outfits weren’t planned. As Taylor-Joy told diversity on the red carpet: “We did it by accident, but now we say ‘It’s intentional’.” ”

“It was a lucky mistake,” Delevingne added.

This isn’t the first time the two have synced their looks. In June 2024, they wore matching white tops while watching a performance at the Glastonbury Festival in England.

Delevingne and Taylor-Joy have already been spotted performing together. The two were spotted at a girls’ night out in New York City in December 2023 with Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Zoë Kravitz, as well as some security guards.

As for Romy and Michele, it seems like the girls are getting a long-awaited sequel. As Sorvino told PEOPLE in November 2024, the film was “so close to being greenlit” and a director had even been hired.

“And they just go back and forth, tweaking things here and there and (there are) rumors that it will be filmed in the second quarter next year,” she added, confirming that she and Kudrow would also return as the title characters.

“Almost every single character from the original that was important is coming back,” Sorvino shared. “All of this is still pending, they’re doing deals, they’re saying yes, but they’re all in.”
