Celebrate the Earth Day in State Parks with personal and virtual events

Sacramento – Celebrate the Earth Day this month with California State Parks in one of the 280 unique State Parks. State Parks will organize numerous events on the Earth Day from 19 to April 27th. This includes personal activities such as guided natural hikes, beach cleaning, interactive junior ranging programs and practical restoration projects as well as virtual programs with a live dive broadcast in which the hidden world of the ocean is explored.

“The day of the earth is a celebration of our connection to the country, water and each other,” said Armando Quintero, director of California State Park. “California State Parks is proud to protect the places, inspire responsibility, arouse curiosity and remind us of why it is important to connect with nature and keep yourself. Celebrate the day of the earth every day!”

A list of the nationwide earth tag events for departments, nature resources and commissions as part of the California Natural Resources Agency can be found at resources.ca.gov/earthday2025.

During the day of the earth on Tuesday, April 22nd, it will be celebrated all the month. Here are some personal and virtual events in State Parks:

Event: Day of the climate campaign at the Point Lobos nature reserve of the state reserve
Date and time: Tuesday, April 19 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Point Lobos State Natural Reserve – Carmel-by-the-Sea, approx. 93923
Description: Make with me Point Lobos State Natural Reserve For a special, family -friendly day of climate campaign in honor of the earth’s day. This interactive event invites visitors to explore the reserve, to find out about the maintenance efforts and to discover sensible opportunities to tackle the climate crisis. Parking fee of $ 10.

Event: Earth Week Portscast
Date and time: Sunday, April 20 – Friday, April 25th
Location: Virtual
Description: Portscast Live programs will bring the miracles of California State Parks to classrooms wherever they may be. Take part with the employees for several events for the Special -Earth Week, which cover a number of topics from the difference between Baleen and tooth whales to find out how some forest fires for the ecosystem can actually be good. Event: Earth Day celebration at California Natural Resources Agency
Date and time: Tuesday, April 22nd to 5pm
Location: 715 P Street, Sacramento, Ca 95814
Description: Discover the great work to maintain, protect and restore the natural and cultural resources of California. Entertaining activities for all ages with interactive activities indoors and outdoors with giveaways and more. The event is accessible to the public – free admission.

Event: Earth Day in Doheny State Beach
Date and time: Saturday, April 26 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: 25300 Dana Point Harbor Dr., Dana Point, CA, 92629
Description: Come and join the employees at the Doheny State Beach For the day of the earth. Visitors are encouraged to achieve their skills for the best environmental pollution examinations and have fun while getting to know each other through pollution and animals and even participating in craft books. This interactive event offers activities for adults and children. The activities for children include the production of owls. This program is free of charge and all ages are welcome. However, the parking fees apply. Hats, water and sunscreen are very encouraged. Rain takes off the event. Visitors can park in the general parking lot and meet on the beach promenade next to the Doho Café.

Event: Earth day in Bolsa Chica State Beach
Date and time: Sunday, April 27 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: 17851 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach, CA 92649
Description: Connect Bolsa Chica State BeachThe Bolsa Chica Conservancy and Huntington Harbor to celebrate the Earth Day. This extravagance three side begins at the Bolsa Chica State Beach from Tower 28 to return the cleaning of beach to the earth and the community. On the other side of the street of the Bolsa Chica -Wetlands, the participants can explore the number of stands to learn more about our local wildlife, and can still have Huntington Harbor for further activities. This event is free and offers free parking spaces.

State Parks is looking forward to seeing Californians on hiking trails, beaches, mountains and the deserts on the Earth Day, but asks to reproduce responsibly:

  • Know before you go: Before leaving the house, Check the status You would like to visit the park to find out which restrictions and guidelines are available, and to find out whether your goal is temporarily closed. Do you have a security plan in the event that your goal is overcrowded.

  • Play it safe: Find out which precautions you should take to explore nature, especially when this visits the State Park system for the first time. For example, make layers of layers, bring a lot of snacks and water with you and wear suitable hiking shoes.

The California State Park System has 280 State Park units, over 340 miles coast, 970 miles lake and river front, 15,000 campsites, 5,200 miles hiking trails, 3,195 historical buildings and more than 11,000 known prehistoric and historical archaeological sites. There are also many other local and national parks in the whole of the state that the Californians can enjoy on earth for day and all year round.
