Celebrate the National Library Week with exciting events in McKendrick Ochoa Salinas Library

Laredo, Tex. (KGNS) – It is the National Library Week and especially on Tuesday, April 8, we celebrate the day of library workers – the perfect time to recognize the incredible work of our library staff and celebrate everything they do to bring community through learning and literacy!

Priscilla Garcia from the McKendrick Ochoa Salinas (MOS) library announced how much effort her funny and educational programs are planning.

Weekly and upcoming events in the MOS library

Include some of the offers in the library:

Spring Book Club

  • When: Every Tuesday, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Where: McKendrick Ochoa Sanchez Branch Library
  • Who: From 6 years
  • The participants read a few chapters together, discuss topics and conclude with fun activity!

Story time on Thursday

  • When: Thursdays, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Who: Children aged 5 and among them with their parents
  • Contains: Stories, songs, finger players, rhymes and craft
  • Note: Registration is required.

Film day in the library

  • When: Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
  • Enjoy a film presented with free snacks – a great way to handle the week!

Young Entrepreneurship Workshop

  • When: Friday, April 12th
  • Who: Age 6 to 11 years old
  • Local business owners will be special guests who offer practical activities, network and inspire young heads to think big.
