Celtics sign veteran wings Torrey Craig on the NBA -Buyout market -NBC Sports Boston

The President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens announced on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. that the Boston Celtics would address a wing on the NBA Buyout market.

This mission was met two hours later.

The Celtics approved a contract with the 34-year-old experienced experienced veteran Torrey Craig.

Craig most recently played for the Chicago Bulls, who did without him on Monday. He performed in just nine games for Chicago this season, while he was a sprain of ankle. The eight-year-old veteran achieved an average of 5.7 points per game last season, while he shot 39.2 percent from the 3-point range.

Craig will probably not make a major contribution to Boston, but he meets a need as a “three-and-D” fing with a proven track record. Craig is an excellent defender and reliable 3-point shooter, which has shot 39 percent or better in the last three seasons of beyond the arch.

After Craig started his professional basketball career in New Zealand, what was the defensive player of the year in 2017 the National Basketball League was appointed, 2017-18 his NBA break became the Denver Nuggets. Since then he has played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, Indiana Pacers and Bulls and performed in 75 playoff games, including six games in the NBA final 2021 with The Sun’s.

The Celtics exchanged Jaden Springer against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, so that Craig will take this free squad. The Celtics still have an additional squad square, but Stevens suggested that Boston could keep this 15th place open the route to get the flexibility of the squad.
