It’s been a tumultuous year for Chappell Roan, who won best new artist at the VMAs in September after canceling two European shows to attend the awards.

She also pulled out of the All Things Go festival in Washington DC and New York City, saying she felt overwhelmed by the pressure of her newfound fame.

Travis Scott, who last performed in Reading and Leeds in 2018, has just completed his Utopia Circus Maximus tour with the release of his first UK number one album, Utopia.

In 2021, he performed at the Astroworld music festival in Texas, where ten people died after fans streamed onto the stage.

Last year he had to cancel a show in front of the Egyptian pyramids, citing “complex production problems.”

Mr Benn said the rapper’s main performance in 2025 would be an “exclusive performance” in Europe.

The festivals are set to be Travis Scott’s only European performances in 2025

Lana Del Rey and Blink-182 was the headliner of the 2023 summer festivals and two stages in The Leeds site was closed when Storm Lilian struck.

Mr Benn claimed the 2025 line-up was one of the “youngest” in years and reflected “an exciting wave of inspirational voices breaking through in pop culture”.

The events will take place at Reading’s Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park in Leeds from August 21-24, with tickets going on sale on Monday.
