Across social media, women are now willing to offer Santa Claus more than just milk and cookies.

Thanks to Target and its new Christmas commercials, everyone is suddenly craving Santa Claus. But this isn’t your average, overweight, poorly dressed Santa Claus. Target’s Santa Claus has a more modern look, hits the gym and a complete makeover.

In the ads, the Santa Claus we all know and love is Target employee “Kris K.”, donning a tight-fitting red sweater that shows off his muscular body. He also drives a cherry red Ford Bronco, accompanied by a license plate that reads “SLEIGH.”

And to top it all off, the silver fox has a head full of gorgeous, white hair.

So whose face is associated with the handsome, brooding figure?

This is model Brent Bailey, who starred in the Amazon film “The Idea of ​​You”. The 41-year-old has also appeared in other streaming series, including The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix and the Apple+ series The Morning Show.

With nine commercials featuring the new Saint Nick in the pipeline, it appears Target has hit a home run with this concept.

The ads are so popular that they are causing a stir on X and Instagram. Many people even call the newcomer “Papa Claus”.

“Target Santa attraction was not on my 2024 bingo card,” one user wrote on X.

“No wonder kid caught mom kissing Santa,” chimed in another on Instagram.

“This year Santa is ringing the SLAY bells,” another user commented.

One user even added: “Santa baby…hurry down the chimney tonight.”

Lisa Roath, Target’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer, spoke to AdWeek about the new Santa Claus, calling him “joyful, helpful and optimistic – qualities that embody the brand.”

“He has this funny side and is incredibly handsome. It represents our incredible team members who are the heroes during the holidays and beyond,” she added.
