Chris Broussard didn’t stutter about the decision to win Super Bowl 59

As the NFL playoffs begin this weekend, experts across the country are weighing in on who will emerge victorious in Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans. As you might expect, most people are picking the Kansas City Chiefs or Detroit Lions, the top seeds in their respective conferences. Some people also take the Buffalo Bills or the Philadelphia Eagles as the No. 2 seed.

However, there is another team that has been playing its best football of late and has the talent to make a run on both sides of the ball. Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are fired up heading into the playoffs, and Fox Sports 1’s Chris Broussard is picking them to win it all, he said Wednesday on “First Things First.”

“This is the year (Lamar Jackson) overcomes the crisis,” Broussard said. “Not only does he play well in the playoffs, he also leads the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory. Not just looks, victory. Lamar Jackson has been so good this year. He struggled in the playoffs. … He’s been so good, he also has Derrick Henry who will obviously help him and he has better receivers.”

Jackson played the best football of his career in 2024, finishing the regular season with 45 total touchdowns and just four interceptions. As a result, he’s locked in a one-on-one race with Josh Allen for his third MVP and second consecutive honor as the league’s best player.

Along with Jackson, Henry has given the Ravens an explosive running game that they can rely on week after week. The legendary running back is still one of the best ball carriers in the league and had one of his best seasons this year, finishing the regular season with 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground.

This Ravens team’s weakness for most of the season has been defense, but even that unit has fixed the problem. It took new defensive coordinator Zach Orr some time to put this group together, but the decision to move Kyle Hamilton back to safety, combined with the emergence of rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins, has made this a completely different unit.

The Ravens face a big challenge to bring home the title, as they will likely have to win two road games against the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs to even get to the Super Bowl. However, there is no team that will be happy to see them on the schedule this postseason because they have so much star power on both sides of the ball and play with their poise.
