Cincinnati Bengals adds an offensive line of offense and hires Lucas Patrick for one year.

Cincinnati – The Bengals signed the veteran guard Lucas Patrick for a one -year contract, the team said on Friday. According to John Sheeran from A to Z Sports, the deal is worth 2.1 million US dollars.

The 31 -year -old Patrick started 10 games for the saints last season and has experience in the Guard and Center. The Bengals brought him in a visit on Thursday evening and the two sides agreed with a deal.

The veteran spent the first five years of his career in Green Bay before playing two years and the saints for the bears last year.

Patrick could be a solid deep piece for the offensive room of a Bengal that needed more depth. Will he fight for a start job? That is the big question. He has experience both at waxplaces and in the middle.

According to Pro Football Focus last season, he achieved an overall grade of 64.6 – the second mark of his career. In the last two seasons in 893 Pass blocking, he did not allow snapshots and, according to PFF, gave up three quarterback hits about this period of time.

It is worth noting that Patrick was in Green Bay with the current defensive coach of Bengal, Jerry Montgomery. In 2016, he signed the packers as unaffected Free Agent from Duke.

Cincinnati has already signed two former packers in the free agency: TJ Slaton and Oren Burks.

Patrick joins an offensive line space, which includes Ted Karras, Orlando Brown Jr., Amarius Mims, Cody Ford and Cordell Volson.
