Claressa Shields is adamant she can beat Jake Paul after defeating Mike Tyson

Jake Paulis victory Mike Tyson hasn’t changed anything Claressa Shields‘ Opinion about how she would fare against the boxer… because she tells it TMZ Sports She still thinks she would beat El Gallo’s ass in the ring.

We caught up with the former world champion at LAX… and got her thoughts on Paul after his unanimous decision victory over Iron Mike – and also on the hate he’s garnered over the years.

Shields believes the backlash isn’t so much about his skills as it is about his choice of opponents.

Shields has stated multiple times that Paul is no match for her in the ring… and even though he just defeated a boxing legend (albeit at 58 years old), that remains the case.

“I don’t think Jake Paul has the skills to get in the ring with me,” she said. “Or one of the guys at 154 pounds and over who is ranked. I won’t lie to you. 1-10.”

Despite the outspoken stance, Shields gave the 27-year-old his flowers for what he has done for art.

“He brings more attention to the sport and that’s what you need,” Shields said. “Hopefully everyone involved on this site can build on this and also create a real plan for where it can be used for generations to come.”
