Colder temperatures bring wintry weather to New Jersey this weekend





It will be significantly colder across New Jersey this weekend.

Today’s weather will feature a mix of mostly sunny skies with an occasional chance for a few light showers in the morning and again in the early afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of around 45 degrees, which is on the cooler side for this time of year. A westerly wind at 8 to 13 miles per hour will add some coolness to the air and provide a fresh feeling.

As night falls, conditions will remain mostly clear and temperatures will drop to around 29 degrees. Westerly winds will continue at around 10 mph, contributing to a clear fall night.

Saturday brings bright sunshine but cooler temperatures as highs barely reach 39 degrees. With wind chill values ​​in the 25 to 30 range, it feels quite cold despite the sunshine. Westerly winds of 8 to 14 miles per hour will persist, keeping the atmosphere cool throughout the day. The sky will remain clear into Saturday night and temperatures will drop to a low of around 24 degrees. Winds will ease slightly but remain noticeable at 8 to 11 mph.

The weather forecast for Sunday largely mirrors Saturday’s weather, with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures around 38 degrees. Westerly winds reaching speeds of 9 to 13 mph will continue to add a brisk atmosphere to the day. On Sunday night it will be mostly clear again, the minimum will be around 26 degrees and the weekend will end with clear and calm weather.

Compared to average conditions in late November, this stretch of weather is cooler as highs are typically closer to the low 50s. While sunshine dominates the forecast, steady westerly winds and lower than usual temperatures are adding a wintry note to the atmosphere, signaling the transition deeper into the colder season.
