Coldplay will perform at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards

Coldplay has joined the growing number of artists set to take the stage at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards.

Coldplay, who will make their BBMA debut this year, will perform songs from their 10th album. Moon musicwhich was released in October. The band is also nominated for two awards: Top Duo/Group and Top Rock Touring Artist. They’ve already won 10 BBMAs and took home Top Rock Touring Artist last year.

Coldplay was on the road for much of 2024 leading up to the release of Moon music. They recently completed a run of shows in Australia and New Zealand and will be hitting the road again early next year with dates in the Middle East and Asia (including what could be their biggest show ever in Ahmedabad, India). A North American leg begins May 31 in Stanford, California and ends July 27 in Miami.

In addition to Coldplay, performances by Seventeen, Teddy Swims and Tyla are currently planned at the 2024 BBMAs. The show will air live on Fox next Thursday, December 12th at 8pm ET/PT, with comedian/actress Michelle Buteau as host.

K-Pop stars Seventeen (who are nominated for Top K-Pop Touring Artist) will perform their recent collaboration with DJ Khaled, “Love, Money, Fame.” Teddy Swims – who received eight nominations this year including Top New Artist – will perform his number one breakthrough “Lose Control” as well as his new single “Bad Dreams.”

And Tyla plans a special gig where she takes over a pub in London for an Amapiano party. Tyla will be joined by singer-songwriter Optimist Music ZA, while the performance will be under the creative direction of choreographer Tanisha Scott. (Tyla herself is nominated for six awards, including Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Female Artist and Top Afrobeats Artist.)

The nominees for the 2024 BBMAs are led by Zach Bryan, Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen and Sabrina Carpenter. In addition to Teddy Swims and Tyla, Chappell Roan, Benson Boone, Shaboozey and Tommy Richman will also be vying for their first BBMA awards.
