Some people seem to think that there are no real consequences for breaking some pretty basic laws, like blocking someone else’s driveway with your own car.

In today’s story, a student finds out the hard way that it’s not okay to block someone’s driveway with your car, even if you’re late for class.

I used to live in a small apartment complex near the state university.

It was a large university and there was hardly any parking.

And all too often, a student would park in front of my driveway and block my access.

He tried to ignore the problem for a while.

By this point, I had completed my studies and remembered the days when I was desperately trying to get to class on time.

That’s why I initially tolerated the parking violations.

But the parking violation happened again and again, from different students.

Finally enough was enough!

Next, I watched as the student who had parked illegally in my driveway freaked out when she saw her car was gone!

And after that, this illegal parking problem has improved significantly.

I think the word has gotten out that blocking our driveway will NOT be tolerated.

Oh sweet justice!

It’s great that he didn’t end up having to tow more than one car.

I’m a little surprised it hasn’t happened a few more times.
