Combine Gauner, Brown to lead women in the state of Iowa to 68-63. First four victory against Princeton

Audi Crooks scored 12 of their 27 points in the fourth quarter, Addy Brown added 22 points and the state of Iowa gathered from a deficit in the second half of 15 points and held Princeton 68: 63 on Wednesday evening in the opening game of the NCAA tournament.

The first four victory in the matchup of 11 Seeds will increase the cyclone (23-11) on Friday to a Matchup with Michigan with the sixth seed. The victory was the number 800 for coach Bill Fennelly, the third highest in women’s basketball among active trainers.

There are now 14 current or former women -college basketball coach with 800 or more victories, including the former Iowa coach Lisa Bluder.

Crooks, which was named in the All-America Third Team Associated Press on Wednesday, dominated the color in which the Cyclones enforced the Tigers 46-28 and made 12 out of 21 shots. Brown was 9 out of 16 with eight templates and seven rebounds. Emily Ryan had six templates to connect the Big 12 Career Cord with 988, which from 2013-16 with Baylor with Niya Johnson’s total.

Fadima Tall scored 19 points, Ashley Chea had 15, but in the second half, Skye Belker 11 and Parker Hill added 10 points and 12 rebounds for Princeton (21-8), which, like the state of Iowa, performed its sixth tournament in a row.
