Comeback players influenced the Stars AV series. Could Miro Heikanen be next?

Denver – While their game on the ice showed it, the stars were stunned by how according to Ball Arena while game 3 was for Gabriel Landeskog’s return.

“Maybe that was the second largest that I heard in a few years,” said Tyler Seguin.

“When Landy arrived, I don’t know if I ever heard a building loudly,” said Jake Oettinger.

The avalanche captain played in over three years in his first game after subjecting several procedures to repair a knee injury. It was expected that his return was a thrust on the ice and a massive moral thrust, especially in the first home game of the AVS of the playoffs.

But to the surprise of many of the stars, the stars came out as a more energetic team and finally won the 2-1 win in the overtime to take on a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series. A game that was mostly written off as an automatic AVS victory became a series competition for the stars and a missed opportunity for her opponent.

The return of players in this Dallas Colorado series was a wild card that both sides had to prepare. There were no players either, but a captain, a Top-Six striker and possibly the two best players from Dallas later in the series.

Landeskog was one of the most striking strikers of the avalanche on Wednesday evening and logged six goals and a blocked shot in just 13:16 ice age. Seguin, who returned in game 82 after four months after the hip surgery for the stars for the stars, leads Dallas with two playoff goals, including the overtime winner of game 3.

It was a question mark of the series whether these players’ players would correspond to the playoff speed and they had a noticeable impact right from the start.

“Really impressive,” said coach Pete Deboer about Seguin. “It only shows you how hard Tyler worked to give himself the chance to be back, and luckily he did it.”

Now that the series goes towards the half -time brand, the stars want to receive some of their most important players even more support. Jason Robertson, who suffered an injury with a lower body in Nashville in game 82, is still available from week to week and may not be available.

But defender Miro Heikanen could be back on Saturday evening.

Heikans, who had knee surgery in February and has not played since January 28th, was as close to a full participant as in the exercise on Friday, skating in line and took repetitions for both power play units. Deboer said that his latest ice age had the opportunity for contact, but he had not yet been put into a test situation in full contact.

In the playoffs, however, it is not guaranteed that Heikanen gives the possibility that Heikans have the opportunity before returning in a game.

With the understanding that the stars could return some of their top players late in the series, Colorado had to win a few games before Dallas reached full strength. The return of Heisans – both from a moral point of view and on the ice – could change the dynamics even further in the direction of the stars.

“I think we’ll get better in the course of the series,” said Deboer. “I think our group knows that nobody chose us to win this series. I think our group has the feeling that we miss keys, but I think that the people we were available to have had as much respect as they should have given, and I think they show that in the first part of this series, and I think that they will get better every evening.”

The thin blue line of the stars has delivered. The third pairing of Lian Bichsel and Alexander Petrovic-a Rookie and a defender who spent in the AHL all year round-reliable even in overtime situations.

But Deboer said on Friday that he still felt Heikan’s absence every night.

“I don’t think they get used to it,” said Deboer. “If at all, the longer it is outside, the more they appreciate how much he does in all situations for them. When I see him here again here during training, his effortless skating, the pieces he makes on the power game, you can see how much you miss him.”

But you may not have to miss him much longer, and if this is the case, the stars – and this series – should feel a difference as soon as it comes back.

“Will Miro Heikanen give us a spark? Absolutely,” said Deboer.
