TALK ABOUT IT IN THE ROCKY TOP FORUM

Jefferson is coming off a redshirt season with the Crimson Tide. He still has four years of eligibility left.

In his lone year, Jefferson saw no action. He spent some time as a member of the scout team, particularly in the lead-up to the game against South Carolina.

Before the season, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer praised Jefferson at SEC Media Days.

“Amari just came this summer and is just extremely talented and highly praised,” DeBoer said. “Just versatile.” You can see that in the other sports and things he can do. You can see he’s going to be a really good player in our program.”

Tidal safety Malachi Moore expressed a similar opinion.

“Amari did a great job coming to work every day,” Moore said. “I think coming in now, his main focus has to just be learning the playbook and learning from the older guys that are there and trying to use that in his perspective on the field. “All of our young ones People do a great job of coming in and following the coaching advice that the older guys give them and I think this is one of the best young groups we’ve ever had when it comes to that people come in and are accepting Don’t take corrective criticism to heart and know that we only want the best for everyone on the team.

Jefferson spent his high school years playing at Tennessee State. He was an outstanding student at Baylor School in Chattanooga.

He was considered a four-star prospect, the No. 8 player in the state and the No. 42 wide receiver in the 2024 class.

Jefferson was named the Tennessee Titans’ Division II, Class AAA Mr. Football honoree. This was the same year I was a freshman Boo Carter and aspiring newcomer Radarious Jackson won in their ranking.
