Cooper Flagg, Herzog towards Georgia Tech in the ACC tournament

Cooper Flagg and the Duke Blue Devils start the tournament of the Atlantic Coast Conference in the quarter -finals when they compete against Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Flagg, born in Newport, Maine, was appointed ACC player of the year and rookie of the year before the start of the conference tournament.

The 18-year-old newcomer led Duke with an average of 19.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. The Blue Devils won the regular season title of the ACC with a 19-1 record and earned the top seed in the conference tournament.

Duke enters the ACC tournament with an overall record of 28: 3 and is the country’s No. 1 team. This is the first time that the Blue Devils have been on the top 25 survey of AP 25 since November 2021.
