Cowboys’ KaVontae Turpin gets big promotion with CeeDee Lamb absent

The Dallas Cowboys announced that star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb will miss the remainder of the NFL season due to a lingering shoulder injury.

Lamb was placed on injured reserve this week while three players were left off the practice squad in a series of plays.

The Cowboys will need to replace a large portion of their offensive attack in Lamb’s absence, but they already have a plan in place with one of the league’s most explosive players.

According to pre-game show 105.3 The Fan, the Cowboys plan to use standout return specialist KaVontae Turpin as the No. 2 wide receiver. Turpin currently leads the Pro Bowl voting as a returner, but has gotten more and more work on offense as the season has progressed.

Now he will have the opportunity to show the Cowboys what he can do with a bigger role.
