Cubs Infieldder Justin Turner reacts to the viral moment with Japanese fans

During his entire career, Justin Turner has one thing that has never changed: his red hair.

Turner’s ginger -look is so iconic that his official nickname is simply “red” – and the long beard that he has worn in MLB most of the time is something that even young fans are 6,000 miles away.

Before the Cubs exhibition game against the Yomiuri Giants on Sunday, Turner said that he had two fans in the stands who put on a special look.

“I was stopped by our photographer, who said:” Hey, there are currently two of her really big fans in the stands, “said Taylor McGregor from Marquee Sports Network after the team’s training.” There were two young children who were wearing orange -colored beards: ‘Oh man, that’s great!’ “

When the gymnast and the Cubs took the field for punch training, he met his two mini-mes. The moment was viral online, with a video of the interaction of over 6,000,000 views and 120,000 likes being accumulated to X.

“Sure enough, they sat right next to the shelter – so I brought her down, took some photos and signed some baseballs,” said Turner. “That was really cool.”

MLB’s Tokyo series was a rich celebration of the interweaving of baseball cultures and Fandoms, and Turer’s fan interaction has only illustrated how significant experience is for everyone involved.

“So that this happens in Tokyo here – that was something very special,” said Turner. “Hopefully it was a memory of a life for you and I hope we created more Cubs fans.”
