Current playoff odds for Alabama and other major teams

Tuscaloosa, AL – The Alabama Crimson Tide finished their regular season with a 9-3 record and are hoping to make the top 12 of the College Football Playoff, but may need some help.

Betting lines are available for fans to bet on who they think will finish in the final playoff spot, and Las Vegas seems to believe that the Crimson Tide has the best chance of all to clinch the final playoff spot .

Before I reveal the odds, I would like to explain the betting lines for those who may not be familiar with them. If a team has negative odds (e.g. -100), it means that they prefer to do what they want to bet on. For example, if Alabama is -100 to beat Auburn, then the Crimson Tide is the favorite to win over the Tigers.

If a team has plus odds (+100), they are the underdog in this scenario. If Ole Miss is +100 to make the College Football Playoff, they will likely miss the playoffs.

With that in mind, the Crimson Tide is considered the betting favorite for the College Football Playoff as one of the remaining overall contenders.

The Crimson Tide has a -250 chance of making the College Football Playoff. Alabama has a better chance (-250) of making the playoffs than of missing them (+190).

The second betting favorite is SMU, which plays Clemson in the ACC Championship Game. SMU is -230 to make the College Football Playoff and +176 to miss the playoffs.

The full list of teams with odds are Alabama, South Carolina, SMU, Ole Miss, Miami and Army.

The topics and their quotas are listed here in alphabetical order.
