Dale Earnhardt Jr. on his car and does the Daytona 500: “I can’t wait” on Sunday

Daytona Beach, Florida -Dale Earnhardt Jr. has opposed the temptation of his family team race of the Nascar Cup series because he wants to make sure that it makes economic sense.

From an emotional sense, he is sold after an evening that totally drained him.

Justin Allgaier had to gather late in his qualification race on Thursday evening on Thursday evening on the Daytona International Speedway in order to provide non -chartered teams in each of the duels for the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

“We somehow tried to downplay how much we want to drive in the Cup series. At least I have,” said Earnhardt. “It is like one of them in which they say: ‘Man, if it should be, it should be.’

“I will not make it go down all the other great things in my world, but man, we are here and we have a taste of it. Do this or wanted to be part of something like that until we started to go through it.

Earnhardt co-owner JR Motorsports with his sister Kelley Earnhardt Miller and Rick Hendrick. The Earnhardts, among the children of the two-time Daytona 500 winner and son of the seven-time cup champion Dale Earnhardt, have won titles in the top development series by Nascar, the XFinity series. They have built up an organization around the Earnhardt Jr.

“For the first time we can put a car on the raster Sunday and the largest, most important race I’ve ever known, and I can’t wait,” said Earnhardt.

It took a long 24 hours before the race for Allgaier and the team, since Allgaier missed the chance to automatically qualify for the race in single car runs on Wednesday evening. This forced them in every respect in a situation in which they had to exceed four other drivers in the race on Thursday.

JJ Yeley represented a big challenge and Allgaier was able to hand it over in the last round.

“I don’t know which day of the week it is, what time it is,” said Allgaier. “I feel like I am in a time distortion.

“(Wednesday) Night was probably emotionally one of the strenuous qualification efforts of all time because I knew how important qualifying was and how much easier the race was (would have been). … I just don’t want to let dale down, Don” I don’t want to let Kelley down, I don’t want to let our fans down. “

He didn’t let her down. And now you will push your cars for Pit Road with 40 other teams on Sunday.

“There is simply no better place than this racetrack,” said Earnhardt Miller. “This is the crown jewel of everything we do. This is the beginning of everything we do.

“This is the big race that everyone wants to do, and here we sit here. We are in the process of starting our first.”
