The Earnhardts, among the children of the two-time Daytona 500 winner and son of the seven-time cup champion Dale Earnhardt, have won titles in the top development series by Nascar, the XFinity series. They have built up an organization around the Earnhardt Jr.

“For the first time we can put a car on the raster Sunday and the largest, most important race I’ve ever known, and I can’t wait,” said Earnhardt.

It took a long 24 hours before the race for Allgaier and the team, since Allgaier missed the chance to automatically qualify for the race in single car runs on Wednesday evening.
