Dallas Cowboys QB DAK Prescott will have restrictions, according to Stephen Jones

It has been a long time since we saw DAK Prescott for the Dallas Cowboys. The team’s franchise quarters was operated on for a thigh injury that took place far before Thanksgiving last year. Prescott’s last game was back on November 3, 2024.

There were not many quotes about the recovery of Prescott, but Stephen Jones spoke about it before the owners of the week. The team’s EPP found that Prescott was doing well, but he added that DAK would have some restrictions on the program outside the season.

That hardly seems shocking. There is no question that DAK is the team’s franchise quarters, so that he is pushing for repetitions in mid -April or May. To be fair, the cowboys have a new head coach in Brian Schottenheimer, but even that is a unique thing because he has been the team’s offensive coordinator for two years, so he already has a work relationship with DAK.

While it makes sense for the cowboys to make things easy with Prescott, this means that the deep card will be available for quarterbacks. At the moment, this list only contains Grier when Cooper Rush left the Baltimore Ravens in the Free Agency and did not return the Cowboys Trey Lance.

Backup Quarterback is therefore one of the true needs of the cowboys list at the moment, and although it makes sense for them to select one during the NFL design, it would still be advisable to add a veteran to the mix.
