Dane Key is committed to Nebraska, Georgia and is now fully committed to Zachariah Branch

The Georgia Bulldogs were in the market for Kentucky transfer WR Dane Key. However, with his commitment to Nebraska announced, Georgia must be all-in on USC transfer Zachariah Branch.

The Georgia football program isn’t exactly “Transfer Portal U.” They are not among the numerous SEC programs that rebuild and restructure their football programs through the transfer portal every December. They get pretty picky this time of year.

College football has become a wage-crunching sport. You have a certain budget to put together a squad. It’s obvious that Georgia is choosing to utilize its resources at the high school level – earning seven consecutive top-five recruiting classes under Kirby Smart. However, they have spent a certain amount of resources to attract top-notch players to the portal. Player with immediate effect.

There was no secret that Georgia had a lot of interest in Kentucky WR transfer, Dane Key. With Key announcing his plans to take his talents to Nebraska to play with the Cornhuskers, there is another WR target that Georgia is being linked to. USC transfer Zachariah Branch and his DB brother Zion Branch are now the top targets for Georgia.

Not only is Zachariah Branch arguably the most dynamic playmaker in this year’s Portal cycle, his brother Zion is also a 6-foot-1, 200-pound former 4-star who plays safety, a position Georgia needs this offseason. Sources have indicated that the connection to Georgia comes from wide receivers coach James Coley, who did a great job recruiting Branch at Texas A&M during his time as the Aggies WR coach. Georgia will now likely go all out to perhaps bring in both Branch brothers, who just completed a visit to Arizona State.
