It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent and Temtem release for PlayStation Plus members on December 3rd¹.

But before we take a closer look at each game in turn, we’d like to highlight some PlayStation Plus activities happening this December as part of the broader PlayStation 30^Th Anniversary celebrations (which you may have seen earlier this year). It takes two | PS4, PS5

It Takes Two is a genre-bending platform adventure designed exclusively for co-op play. Choose between couch or online co-op with split-screen play, and invite a friend to join in for free with the Friend’s Pass² and work together on a variety of fun gameplay challenges. Play as the feuding couple Cody and May, two people who were turned into dolls by a magic spell. Together they are trapped in a fantastical world where the unpredictable hides behind every corner, and reluctantly face the challenge of saving their broken relationship. Master unique and interconnected character abilities in each new level. Help each other overcome a plethora of unexpected obstacles and laugh-out-loud moments. Step into the furry tails of gangster squirrels, control a pair of underpants, DJ in a lively nightclub and bobsled through a magical snow globe. Experience a heartfelt and hilarious story where narrative and gameplay are interwoven into a unique metaphorical experience.

Aliens: Dark Descent | PS4, PS5

Fight to keep your squad alive against the deadliest enemy humanity has ever faced. Aliens: Dark Descent is a real-time combat strategy game in which you command a group of hardened colonial marines to stop a horrific xenomorph outbreak on Moon Lethe. Lead your soldiers against legendary Xenomorphs, rogue agents of the insatiable Weyland-Yutani Corporation, and a host of terrifying creatures new to the Alien series. Infiltrate large open levels and destroy enemies with your squad by issuing orders strategically and intuitively. Proceed carefully because your enemies will adapt their tactics to your actions as they hunt you because death is permanent.

Tempem | PS5

Every child dreams of becoming a Temtem tamer. Explore the six islands of the Airborne Archipelago, discover new species and make good friends along the way. Now it’s your turn to embark on an epic adventure and make your dreams come true. Catch new Temtem on the floating islands of Omninesia, battle other tamers on the sandy beaches of Deniz, or trade with your friends on the ash-covered fields of Tucma. Defeat the ever-annoying Belsoto Clan and end their plan to rule the archipelago, defeat all eight dojo leaders and become the ultimate Temtem tamer.

All three games will be available to PlayStation Plus members from December 3rd to January 6th.

PlayStation Plus Premium Classics for December

Today we’re excited to share the first reveal of a trio of classic PlayStation titles joining the PlayStation Plus Premium lineup in December, all helping to celebrate PlayStation’s 30th anniversary^Th Anniversary. Starting December 10th, members can complete the PS2 Sly trilogy with the release of Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, as well as enjoy Naughty Dog’s PS2 adventure Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. Free Online Multiplayer Weekend | 6th-8th December

To continue to celebrate the amazing online games and communities on PlayStation, we’re hosting an extended free online multiplayer weekend from December 6th to 8th. These days you can enjoy online multiplayer for games you own without having a PlayStation Plus membership on PS5 and PS4 consoles³.

Esports tournament | 6th-8th December

That same weekend, we’re hosting a series of PS5 esports tournaments with titles like EA Sports FC 25, NBA 2K25, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, Madden NFL 25, College Football 25, UFC 5, MLB The Show 24 and Guilty Gear Strive. If you own and qualify for one of these games, you can compete on December 6th and 8th to win avatars and other game-specific prizes.
