Daryl Hannah said that the first Trump government “tried every trick in the book” to “mess up” with Neil Young while he went through the process as an American citizen.

The actor and director Hannah, the girlfriend and collaborative partner of the veteran rocker, made the revelation when she spoke about her new documentary. Neil Young: coast, About his solo tour from 2023.

The 79 -year -old Young, recently, expressed his concern that he could be excluded on his return from his European tour -including the main performances in Glastonbury and the Montreux Jazz Festival this summer -due to his prospects about the US president from the USA.

“When I talk about Donald J Trump, I can be one of those who return to America who are put on a cement floor with an aluminum ceiling or brought to prison,” he wrote on his website after the number of people was arrested and deported when he entered the country.

Young has long been a loud critic of Trump and sued him once because he used his song “Rockin ‘in the Free World” during the Presidential campaign path.

“They tried every trick in the book to mess him up and let him come back again and again to ask again and ask him again,” Hannah told the BBC of the Canadian musician.

“It is ridiculous (because) he lives in America and pays taxes here since he was in the twenties.”

However, she said that she did not believe that Young was prevented from entering the country: “They have detained people with green cards or visas – which is terrible and terrible – but they have not yet refused to let American citizens back in the country, so I don’t think this will happen.”

In the same interview the Spray And Kill Star said she would accompany Young to Glastonbury and film his performance from the side of the stage.

“People see him as this intimidating, unfathomable person who will make an album that rejects the record company to remove,” she said, moving into a youngsters to submit two albums, which means “musically uncharacteristic”.
